Synoptic Tables: list

"La NWW List è la prima lista miliare in cui la musica riscopre la musica. Questa variegata lista di album che avrebbe influenzato in un modo o nell'altro i Nurse With Wound, non è strictly for fans, nè è da confondersi con miriadi di elenchi seguenti, meno forieri, più tardivi. E' il più coraggioso e influente catalogo di materiale musicale, in un termine la migliore 'indie'-list mai stilata.
Originale, torrenziale, maledetta, proibita ed esiliata. Controcorrente giocoforza, spiritualmente punk, lucidamente iconoclasta, sovversiva. È quasi un organismo con una propria logica: nel suo dispiegarsi scopriamo giochi e relazioni tra dischi, affinità, reazioni particolari inimmaginabili a uno sguardo superficiale.

La NWW List ‘recita’ come un trattato, ‘suona’ più di intere discografie. Nel proprio richiamo, la NWW List lava via certezze e automatismi indotti dall’industria musicale, invita a perdersi per rinvenire nuovi possibili materiali musicali alternativi, in cui spesso e volentieri si svela un cuore, s’insinua il barlume del Genio, sul perenne crinale tra istinto e cognizione.
Le opere nominate dalla NWW List sono state per lo più ignorate ai tempi della propria pubblicazione ma sono continuo oggetto di riscoperta. Da sempre interessanti e singolari, primordiali e violente, agitate e agitanti..da ‘DNA’. Il loro ascolto scopre continui, reciproci fil rouge, ma anche verso quel mondo di leggi e di regole del pop di consumo che spietatamente le scacciò come “infedeli” un tempo, che ha bisogno di simili difformità per il proprio rinnovo; per protrarre la propria menzogna e pensare metamorfosi.

Tra le pieghe paradigmatiche della NWW List, nelle loro realtà e a-realtà, brilla e svetta superbo il focolaio dell’invenzione. Il coraggio, il gesto; l’azione inconsulta e passionale del varcare un limite ‘proibito’.
Riluce e vibra la fiamma del genio creativo più impulsivo e senza freno, spesso non ancora (o mai) “fiduciato” da un pubblico ammansito, ma al quale non manca, né mancherà mai, il tempo."

04) I film che creano micromondi governati da leggi autonome. Cinema elementale, con molto spazio ad elementi e forze naturali (come ne L'elemento del crimine di Von Trier - aria e acqua - e ancora Tarkovskij - aria, acqua >psn 02, pl 01 terra e fuoco - o Tarr - acqua, terra, aria). Anomia che si autoregola (come nei film di Lynch) Connessioni con network sotteranei, circuiti segreti...

05) Network sotterranei, circuiti segreti, undercurrents... Vedi ad esempio il sistema postale alternativo de L'incanto del Lotto 49 di Pynchon.

06) Timor panico. Non nel senso di terrore inontrollabile. Legato al cosiddetto 'sublime' e al senso di fusione e smaterializzazione del sé rispetto al tutto che gli sta davanti (vedi quadri di Friedrich, Ophelia di Millais e La pioggia nel pineto di D'Annunzio).

07) Wanderlust. Smania di viaggiare, di girovagare... Irrequietezza, sorta di Sehnsucht dei luoghi (vedi Romanticismo).

01) Le sigarette spente in fretta nei film. Solo qualche tiro e poi schiacciate contro il posacenere. Hanno un sapore particolare per me, dall'altra parte dello schermo. Sinestesia.

02) L'acqua dolce che scorre e forma laghi, stagni, polle, canali... come nei film di Tarkovskij. Il fatto che piova dentro le case (Solaris, Nostalghia).

03) La geometria astratta nei primi film di Dario Argento. Il dramma degli oggetti e dell'inanimato. L'uso dell'architettura Liberty nelle case (Torino?). Scenografie a finzione visibile, come se fossero quadri di Hopper (Profondo Rosso).
